The importance of technology in business performance
On Thursday 28.02.2013 at 10:30, Faculty of Applied Sciences at Barleti University in cooperation with the Barleti Institute of Research and Development and Microsoft Albania held a meeting entitled "THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY IN BUSINESS PERFORMANCE".
Invited to the meeting were:
Mr. Arsen Kurti General Manager at Microsoft Albania,
Mr.Sokol Muca - Academic Program Manager at Microsoft Albania,
Mr.Arben Murtaj - Account Technology Strategist at MICROSOFT ALBANIA.
During the meeting Mr.Arsen Kurti discussed about new innovations in technology brought by Microsoft for the global market and discussed about the products offered by Microsoft Albania in facilitating management and communication which are used in various institutions. Also there was the introduction of the latest technology by Microsoft "Windows Surface Pro" as a new innovation in the field of Hardware. In those discutions students were interested for ERP applications (resource planning systems), which usually supports the internal chain of businesses and CRM applications (customer relationship management) that provides care for the client.
Later Mr.Arben Murtaj discussed about the history of technology over the years and prospects for the future, also brought along an extensive analysis done in many global businesses for the facilities and benefits that these businesses have benefited by implementing new technologies.
Mr.Sokol Muca discussed about the cooperation that has Microsoft Albania with different universities of the country including the Barleti University. He spoke about the Microsoft IT Academy program as an educational program which is available to all accredited academic institutions, designed to provide students with the 21st century technology skills necessary to acquire certification and be competitive in today’s rapidly evolving workplace.
The meeting lasted about 2 hours which was attended by students and teachers. During the meeting there were many questions and discussions about various topics in the field of technology.
