Academic staff from the Department of Creative Industries and the Department of Architecture recently participated in the International Staff Week held in Málaga, Spain, from 1–5 June 2026. The event was hosted by CPIFP Alan Turing and supported by the Erasmus+ Programme.

This international mobility served as an important platform for exchanging best practices in higher education, digital transformation, and the development of new international academic partnerships.

Highlights of the Mobility Week

- Exploring Digital Innovation
The programme began at Polo de Contenidos Digitales, a leading innovation and technology hub in Málaga. Participants had the opportunity to engage with successful startups and digital companies, gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in technology and the creative industries.

- Strengthening International Partnerships
Representatives from participating institutions presented their academic and institutional profiles, creating opportunities for future collaborations, joint research initiatives, and international staff and student exchanges.

- Albania in the Spotlight
One of the most memorable moments of the week was the presentation delivered by CPIFP Alan Turing students who had recently completed their professional internships in Albania. They shared their experiences and cultural reflections, even delivering part of their presentation in Albanian.

- Connecting Industry and Academia
The programme included a visit to the CPIFP Alan Turing campus, followed by an exclusive tour of DEKRA facilities. Participants gained first-hand insight into applied technological workflows, digital testing infrastructures, and industry-oriented practices.

- Discovering Andalusia’s Cultural Heritage
Alongside the academic programme, participants explored the rich history and culture of Málaga through organized cultural visits. Highlights included the Alcazaba, the city's remarkable 11th-century Moorish fortress, and the historic Málaga Cathedral.

Celebrating International Collaboration
The week concluded with the Certificate Award Ceremony, marking the successful completion of a valuable professional and cultural experience while celebrating the new academic connections established among participating institutions.

This mobility experience contributes to strengthening our international network and brings fresh perspectives on digital transformation, computer-aided design, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration back to our academic community.
