University “Barleti " ( UB ) in collaboration with United States Agency for International Development ( USAID ) “Growth Albania” Project, on 3th December, 2013 , at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the University premises Barleti organized:

Presentated “Certified Tourism Programs in Albania," of the American Hotel Service Educational Institute (AHLEI).
The guests of honor at the event were Mrs. Englantina Gjermeni - Minister of Urban Development and Tourism, Mr Erjon Veliaj - Minister of Social Welfare and Youth and Mr. Jim Barnhart, Director of the USAID Mission in Albania.

Mr. Veliaj in his remarks expressed satisfaction with the partnership and cooperation in joint projects in recognition of different experiences implemented by non-public institutions of higher education, professional development courses.

Mrs. Gjermeni in her speech expressed her satisfaction attendance of the University “Barleti " , where she had previously been a professor , as head of the civil society, parliamentarians , now as Minister . Shared her pleasure for cooperation in such projects and tangible results that will directly affect the growth of the tourism sector as a separate economy, income growth, employment, especially in enhancing the quality of services, increase professionalism in the tourism sector.

Mr. Jim Barnhart in the name of of USAID / Albania was welcome and thanks Barleti University and DMO, on close cooperation and partnership on future projects in field of the Tourism.

Z.Victor Luboyeski , Director , USAID Project "Growing Albania " made the presentation of the American Educational Institute Hotel Service AHLEI, thanks to the results achieved in projects and cooperation with both institutions as University Barleti and DMO - in Korça .
During the program was a presentation by Mrs.Orieta Glozheni DMO’s Head of Korça for presentation AHLEI’s Courses and results of the “Survey on Training for Tourism” Zeneli Dr.Gazmend Director Business Department, and Tourism Management, presented Tourism Management Program provided by the University in collaboration with Barleti AHLEI. UB was selected as the only University in Albania that offers certified courses in hotel and tourism from the International Institution, based on recognized standards of tourism. Characteristic of this program is that in the end, the students will receive:

- Professional Bachelor issued by UB.
- Certificate issued by AHLEI Operations in Hospitality and Tourism industry.
